【摘要】:Thismethoddescribestheprocedurefortheionchromatographicdeterminationofthetotalamountofeachoftheindividualortho-orthoisomerofthechelatingagentsEDDHAandEDDHMAinfertilizerscontainingoneorbothofthesesubstances.Themethodallowstheidentificationandthedeterminationofthetotalwatersolublefractionofeachofthesechelatingagents.Itdoesnotallowtodistinguishbetweenthefreeformandthemetalboundformofthechelatingagents.NOTE1EDDHAandEDDHMAareabbreviationsusedinthisstandardforthesakeofsimplicity.ForcompletenamesseeannexA.NOTE2ThesubstancesEDDHAandEDDHMAexistunderseveraldifferentisomericforms.Positionalisomers(ortho,meta,andparaforms)aswellasstereoisomers(mesoanddlforms)areknown.Thismethodappliestofertilizerscontainingchelatesofoneormoreofthefollowingmicro-nutrients:cobalt,copper,iron,manganese,zincandwithamassfractionofatleast0,1%.NOTE3Atpresent,analyticallypurestandardsonlyexistforortho-orthoEDDHA.Allothersubstancesbeingunavailableasastandard,theinfluenceoftheireventualpresenceinthesamples(withrespecttothesensitivityandtheselectivityofthismethod)hasnotbeenstudied.ForEDDHMA,themethodhasbeendevelopedwithsamplesofironEDDHMAofuncertainpurityandcomposition,anystandardproductbeingunavailable.NOTE4Inthechromatographicconditionsofthismethod,thestereoisomersofEDDHAandEDDHMAareelutingtogetherasasinglepeak.Usinganeluentwithalowerexchangestrength,themesoandthedlformsofEDDHAandEDDHMAcanbeseparated.
