【摘要】:Thisisnotaroutinetest.Thevaluesrecordedareapplicableonlytothesewerbeingtestedandatthetimeoftesting.1.1Thistestmethodcoversproceduresfortestingconcretepipesewerlines,whenusingthenegativeairpressure(vacuum)testmethodtodemonstratetheintegrityoftheinstalledmaterialandtheconstructionprocedures.Thistestmethodcoverstestingof4to36-in.diametercircularconcretepipesewerlinesutilizinggasketedjoints.Note18212;Theuserofthistestmethodisadvisedthatmethodsdescribedhereinmayalsobeusedasapreliminarytesttoenablethemanufacturerorinstallertodemonstratetheconditionofsewerpipepriortodeliveryorbackfill.MinimumtesttimespresentedinTable1areforpipelines.Holdingtimesfortestinganindividualpipemayhavetobeincreasedtoallowfortheaccumulationofleakagewhenthetestedpipeareincorporatedintoacontinuouspipeline.Note28212;Theuserofthistestmethodisadvisedthatthenegativeairpressure(vacuum)testcriteriapresentedinthistestmethodaresimilartothoseingeneraluse.Thetestandcriteriahavebeenusedwidelyandsuccessfullyintestingsmallerdiameterpipe.Largerpipewillbeacceptedmoreconvenientlybyvisualinspectionandindividualjointtesting.Note38212;Theuserofthistestmethodisadvisedthatnocorrelationhasbeenfoundbetweenlossofvacuumandwaterleakage.1.2Thistestmethodistheinch-poundcompaniontoTestMethodC1214M;therefore,noSIequivalentsarepresentedinthetestmethod.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SeeSection6forspecificsafetyprecautions.
